Calgary Bride to Marry Stranger

A Calgary woman who has agreed to marry a man she has never met as part of a radio station contest will go through with the wedding despite an ex-boyfriend's pleas to marry him instead.
The woman, known only as Monday's Bride, will marry a man she calls Monday's Groom on Thursday at the Atco Centre at Canada Olympic Park.
The wedding was organized by Calgary radio station Energy 101.5 as part of its Two Strangers and a Wedding contest. The goal was to find two people who would agree to meet over the airwaves and get married, without ever seeing each other.
The pair was chosen from nearly 100 applicants after a series of personality and psychological tests and feedback from listeners.
The two have gotten to know each other on one "date," during which they could speak but could not see each other.

What can you say. People have an infinite capacity to disappoint with their stupidity. All the best, morons.

If I were her boyfriend I would be thanking the radio station for showing me what an unstable b*tch I was dating and saving me the cost of an eventual divorce.

It's kind of like an arranged marriage! Although a self-imposed one...

They are apparently compatible according to the psychological tests. Looks aren't everything.

I Do Day: Monday Bride makes her big decision

The Canadian divorce rate hovers at about 40 per cent. It's important to keep that in mind when considering the following story.
This morning at 8, two strangers -- a 34-year-old bride and her 24-year-old groom -- are set to sign on the dotted line as part of a month-long promotion by a Calgary radio station.
They will be introduced at the altar and may or may not decide to get married.

What kind of loser would marry a woman who would leave her boyfriend for someone she has never met? That will surely be a relationship where he has to watch over his shoulder for the rest of his life.

ohh great just what we need - someone to pad the divorce rate stats.

It's not much different from arranged marriages. My second cousin and I were betrothed when we were 5 years old. Now we have two beautiful children and have never been happier!

That is fine but my issue is with the character of a woman that would leave her boyfriend for someone whe has never met. That shouts FLAKY!

If she hates her current boyfriend, it's not that suprising...

OK but if you hate someone why would you date them? If she hated her current boyfridnd I assume she would have left him already.
