Toronto's Winter Snow Blast Welcomes New Family Day Holiday in Ontario

This Sunday morning, most Toronto families woke up to the sound of a snow truck on their property.
Overnight, Toronto became a very dangerous city for its inhabitants. Radio announcements urged everyone to move their cars for the clean-up and to stay home.
The city of Toronto, after consecutively being hit with over four snow storms, and then freezing rain was running out of room for all its wet snow.  
It quickly became evident that the city Mayor David Miller send out the crews in the masses to solve the problem this A.M. and must of given the snow removal crews a green light to dump snow wherever they see fit.
The objective was obvious by observing that the crews were targeting manhole covers to clear as many clogged sewer arteries from the heaps of melting snow. 

When asked, the snow removal crews believe that they will have approximately half of the city’s residential streets cleared by tomorrow evening.

Heaps of snow, icy road conditions, treacherous parking problems, slippery walkways and falling ice from roof tops had every pedestrian looking for a taxi.

Several near pedestrian misses of falling chunks of ice from roofs made the sidewalks as hazardous as the slippery road conditions where the GTA news marquees flashed over 200 Ontario Provincial police reported accidents by the end of the day.
The storm aftermath welcomes 'Family Day' tomorrow, a civic Canadian holiday, that is celebrated for the first time here in Ontario.
Many resorts, hotels, cottages, inns, north of Toronto have put together a 'getaway from the city weekend special' with one night package rates, daily family fun events to help families escape the city for the holiday and to return to  a better Tuesday morning drive to work.
